Publisher's summary

The only way to fall in love is to take the first step.

For Caleb, that first step leads to fear, violence, and the death of the only boy he’s ever loved. He won’t—can’t—admit who he is to himself. How could he ever share his deepest secrets with someone else?

Josaiah has known he was gay since he was seven. He’s experienced in more ways than one—with sex, with other men, and as a dominant. But love is something he can’t accept or give, and he’s walled himself off from any kind of affection.

Can Caleb confront his ghosts and learn to love himself and his new dom? Will Josaiah remember how to love and be loved in turn? As Caleb and Josaiah take the first few steps toward each other, their pasts threaten to overwhelm their future.

really good

This was a somewhat intense listen. The story grabbed me. Caleb and Josaiah were complicated characters with a well thought out plot. Caleb is in the closet, he doesn't feel safe to come out. Josaiah is a Dom and wants to bring out he sub in Caleb, to show him what could be. But Caleb is afraid to love. Both have a traumatic past to get past. This was my first listen by Richard Pendragon, he did a great job. Overall, a really good listen.

Its ok

I loved that there were characters with disabilities, homophobia and insecurities as well as bdsm and friend tribes but being in an insecure person's head without a break drove me a little crazy and was hard to listen 8+ hours to. Also I felt that the MC blindness was not fully flushed out and was overlooked quiet a bit with then a few traits thrown back in to remind the reader that the author didn't forget.

Was just ok

Even though the book touches on serious issues—a lot of the book is Josiah’s dysfunction and Caleb’s homophobia. Was easy to follow and the reading was ok as well except the accents changed during some spots. Would not listen again though.

Great narration and story

This is the story of Caleb and Josaiah, two men with rough pasts who struggle when they come together but both want to make things work. Josaiah had a difficult upbringing and doesn’t do relationships. Caleb had a traumatic event that’s altered his whole life. They keep coming together, but they keep fighting each other back. This is steamy, sad, sweet with happy moments and D/s elements. Well done!

Not What I Expected

The story was okay. I wasn't expecting Caleb to act the way he did. The way he dealt with his denial was unexpected. The narrator did an okay job narrating. Some of his voices sounded a little off.

One of the best love stories I have read

Hello, my name is well call me Frank Butterfly. This is my roommate's account. I just finished listening to this wonderful book. First, I must say that it takes a really good book to keep my attention. Though I am not gay. I found the love story between the two main characters to be beautiful. I highly recommend this book. It deserves more stars than I am allowed to give.

loved it

I loved this book. Richard Pendragon's voice really brings this story to life and makes you love the characters even more. Caleb lost his first love in a horrific way. He can't admit the truth to himself. Josaiah has know for a long time he is gay. He is a Dominant that can't love or give love. He has built a wall around his hard that no one can get through. Or so he believes. Will Caleb be brave enough to overcome his past? Will Josaiah learn to love and be loved in return? Will Caleb and Josaiah heal in order to embrace the love and happiness they both need?

Caleb and Josiah

This was a well written novel looking at Caleb finally saying he was gay, the loss of his first crush due to a violent death, put Caleb in the mindset of if none touched him, he would be OK. That was until Josiah.

Dom/Sub book that falls short of its full potential

Claim me, Love Me follows the story of Josaiah and Caleb. It is a Dom/Sub book that falls short of its full potential. The book had an interesting story, but needs some editing. The book has some timing issues as well as repetition of phrases. The narrator did a good job on reading the story given.

Didn’t like the story

This book was just…no. Josiah and Caleb were so dysfunctional separately and together. Listening to this story was like watching a car crash in slow motion. Not recommended, even if you like car crashes! The performance was decent, although every once in a while the characters had a Southern accent, so it was a little inconsistent.
