About this listen

Adina remained on Earth to stay with her husband, even though she was the perfect candidate for the alien bridal program on the planet Lukrim. She has a good job, a husband who loves her, and a hobby watching old movies where the sky was still blue. She's worked her way up to be the director at the very program she denied herself from, but now, her alien boss on Lukrim wants more from her.

When he offers her a deal she can't refuse, she leaps at the chance to get herself and her husband off Earth. Her husband Mike is suspicious of the alien's motives. How could he not be? Tahum is tall, blue-skinned, and hot as hell, and he can give Adina the one thing her husband can't: a baby.

Warrior-turned-diplomat Tahum can give his human coworker and her husband everything they want and need, if they'll only give him a chance. But can Mike trust this alien with his wife and not lose her in the process?

I received a free code for an honest review. I liked how this was different than most alien books. She is married. At first I thought this would be she runs away with alien and I was pleasantly surprised that is not what happened. The narrator was great but there's a lot of background noises. I think with time and a better booth she would make a really good narrator. If you find tropes a spoiler don't on.

The only reason I deducted one star is my personal issue. I'm not a huge fan of massive loads or breeding tropes. The extra focus on things dripping out of her and spreading down her legs is just not for me.

I enjoyed this story so much. The narration was super, and the premise was interesting. What would you do if you have the chance to leave the polluted earth behind and could even bring your husband with you to a planet looking for female mates? What if the catch is your husband has to share you with a handsome alien who wants to give you the child you long for, but your husband can’t give you? That’s the premise of this story, as the trio learns in a short span of time how to get past jealously and their own hang-ups to explore this new world. I’d love to hear more about this trio as they settle into this planet. It was a fun listen!

This was an intriguing, bite-sized story!

This is the first book in a new series. Adina and Mike are a happily married couple living on Earth. They now have a chance to go to Lukrim together for her job. On the way, Adina starts a relationship with Tarim as well. The story continues from there. Marissa Morreale was absolutely brilliant in her narration of this audiobook. She portrayed all characters perfectly.

Claimed by the Alien by Nessa Claugh is a romantic Sci-Fi. Marissa Morreale did a wonderful job with the narration. The story is entertaining, interesting, enjoyable, and fun. It’s HOT, steamy, spicy and romantic. Planet Earth and planet Lukrim have an agreement. Earth women can marry Lukrim warriors. The woman are in exchange for earth’s protection, it’s all voluntary and a fair trade. I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Highly recommend. The Ragrim Conflict story are all stand-alone.

I was provided with a copy of this audiobook through audible by the author in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first time I have read (or listened) to this author. While this is a familiar premise - alien bride program: male aliens + human women = off world arranged marriages. This particular book is a slightly different set up. First of all our heroine is already married to a human male, additionally she works for the bride program selecting brides.

There is no cheating and anything that occurs between her and the alien is consensual between the three of them. This makes for a rather unique dynamic. While there is the relationship interplay there is also solid world building regarding the post apocalyptic situation on earth and the newly established bride program on another planet. Her original purpose is to set up a center for the human brides to assist them in adapting to their new home world and allow them to connect with other humans in a bid to combat homesickness. This is presented in a really interesting way and to my mind would have supported the lengthening of the book which ends before they arrive at the new planet. The tasks necessary were interesting enough to support a continued story which is a little short at right under 2.5 hours of listening time. While it doesn’t feel unfinished or end on a cliffhanger I would have been interested to know what happens next. This is the first in a series so maybe we will find out more later on.

This is a very steamy open door alien romance. Triggers include cultural displacement, pollution/air quality, marital tension related to the wife being the primary bread winner due to husbands injury.

I enjoyed the narration. The sound quality was just a little tinny. Not distractingly so but could have been better. 4/5 stars
