About this listen
She will never belong to anyone ever again.
Jill was raised in a militia, but found the strength to break away. She hadn't expected that break would lead her to a life filled with supernatural friends and space battles, but she could handle anything thrown her way. Even the sexy alien she kept butting heads with.
He wanted someone to belong to.
Nial met his match when he tackled the tough-as-nails human woman wielding a gun. He was a warrior protector who wanted to connect with someone who could match his rough ways. Jill surpassed anything he’d imagined. And she wanted nothing to do with him.
Will their sparks lead to love or war?
When Jill’s father takes his alien hatred too far back on Earth, the two are thrust together as Jill is sent back to take him down. Between the one bed, the tension, and the escalating danger, they’ll be lucky to make it out alive from their arguments, let alone their mission.
Warning: Surprise POV cameos by some beloved characters along with some new ones, characters gone wild, and more pizza.
Content Warnings: Discussed childhood trauma due to being raised in a cult/militia. Discussed, though not in detail, the loss of a parent. Parricide. Light sadomasochism. Virgin heroine. Food and chewing. Knife injury. Prisoner torture aftermath/no torture. Bareknuckle brawling. Light dominant/submissive relationship.

Story
Lana Fleming’s sister has vanished from the set of TV’s hottest show, and no one seems to care. Desperate for answers, Lana sneaks in as an extra, only to get stranded with Griffin Hart, an A-list action star with a reputation for good abs and bad decisions. Though Griffin didn’t expect to be cast as a librarian’s sidekick in a real-life thriller, he’s weirdly into it—and into her. Even more unsettling—she sees right through his playboy persona. But their meet-cute soon turns deadly when they uncover a Hollywood scandal for the ages.

Story
Liv’s happy with life in her thirties. She has two cats, one BFF, and no boyfriend, which is just how she likes it. Plus, she loves working at a not-for-profit software company where she can be her authentically autistic self. This is her happy ever after. But when her beloved firm merges with a repulsive rival, Liv finds herself competing with her sort-of-ex for the top job. Sure, Finn had been Liv’s best friend, with his nerdy good looks and their shared love of Tolkien, but there was that one night, their song, and … well, she doesn’t like to talk about it.

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

Enjoyable listen
This book is fun and spicy and I love the 'no filter' talk between Jill and Nial. It was great to listen to. Two of the narrators were new to me and I enjoyed their performance with this story. The story line was easy to follow even though I had not read any other book in this series.

Fun Story!
This was my first story in the series that I listened to, and I really enjoyed it. It was fun, action packed and had a good amount of spice. The banter between Jill and Nial was great and it I think he was great for her. Going into this listen, I had listened to Maxine many times, but I had never listened to the other 2 narrators before. I thought they all did a great job and I loved that there were multiple narrators for the story. I would recommend this story if you enjoy this genre.

Funny and spicy
This was a funny , spicy and action filled book. I really enjoyed it a lot! The characters were great and the narrators perfect for them. It was a quick listen that gave me everything I needed. I loved all the references to previous characters as well. It is an interesting world that has been built and I look forward to more of these stories.

Love a RomCom
So fantasy is not a big trope that I dive into often, but I enjoyed this audio. I think what I enjoyed the most was the banter between Nial and Jill. they had me cracking up laughing and the spicy scenes were funny at times and what it should be like sometimes between two people for their first time together. The narrators did a great job and loved that it has multiple narrators. I did feel the ending was a little rushed, but for a short book overall I enjoyed it. I've only listened to three of Michelle Mars's books so far, but I really enjoyed them all.

Enjoyable story
This is book 3 in the series and I haven’t read this without reading any of the prior books. I felt a little lost at first. But I did feel I was given enough details to enjoy this story. Jill’s FIA diary/journal was fun. I enjoyed the side characters even though I had not read their stories. Jill was a virgin at the beginning of the story but I think is glossed over when she and Nial finally get together. I enjoyed the second half of the story more. A lot more action when they had infiltrated Jill’s father’s compound.

So funny!
This was a different side of Michele Mars for me and it was a fun story. I could not have annoyed the tension and banter between the MCs more . Several laugh out loud moments . The genre wasn’t my complete cup of tea but I’m glad i tried something new .
