About this listen
For months, Callahan has shed blood and diced with death, battling the German army, a ruthless enemy. But nothing has prepared him for this new hell.
Millions have died trying to shatter the enemy fortifications, and Private Callahan and his comrades are ordered to try again. But this time they have something new. Lines of heavy tanks, their engines revving, and the sky overhead filled with squadrons of fighter aircraft. Their task is to assault an impregnable fortified hilltop, manned by thousands of battle-hardened German soldiers, determined to contest every yard of ground.
Callahan is no less determined. Hardened by a nightmare war of trenches, ruined towns, and shell-scarred no-man's-land, he will not be stopped. Except by death. In front of him is an implacable enemy with millions of soldiers and cavalry, as well as their newest inventions. Lethal, man-killing secret weapons about to arrive at the front.
A full-length novel by the bestselling authors of the popular Grants War series, SEAL Team Bravo, Heroes of Afghanistan, Raider, Echo Six, and Devil's Guard titles. A collaboration between Eric Meyer and Michael G. Thomas, bestselling authors of over two hundred novels.

Intriguing Historical Fiction
This story grabbed my attention from the opening paragraphs. The author was so descriptive that I felt like I was in the tank while the battles were happening. I experienced the first world war in a way that I hadn't before, and I gained some knowledge about tanks. I liked Private Callahan and his determination to succeed no matter what challenges the German Army presented. I was entertained by Henry Marshall's narration, and his performance kept my attention. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
