This book wastes no time diving into drama and tension. What begins as a picture-perfect high school romance quickly unravels into something darker and more unsettling. The shift in tone is handled with subtlety and emotional realism, making the characters feel authentic and layered. A strong story with just the right mix of suspense and teenage dynamics. The author does a great job showing how quickly someone's mask can slip—leaving the reader unsettled but hooked. A compelling read, especially for fans of YA fiction with real emotional stakes.

Closet may be short, but it's not lacking in detail and suspense! John writes the story so well that I felt as if I was right alongside the characters. They're so relatable. This story is full of twists and turns you'll never see coming. And the ending...shocking!

This book is by far my favorite one in the "Edge of Reality" series. I like how the character's in this story are both relatable and descriptive with their open emotions and interactions with each other. Chad is the perfect example of an all-star high school teen who has just about everything he wants. It isn't enough for him, though, and he learns later on a shocking lesson about the price you pay for not being grateful for what and who you have in your life. The manipulation he uses and mistreatment of others in order to try to have the "perfect" millionaire life backfires little by little. I like how his closet kind of has a double meaning to it; it can be seen as both a place to hide and a transformation of sorts. This book has a nice suspenseful pace to it that builds up and has you guessing what's going to happen next. What's lurking around the corner, and is it really magic or all in his head? How does it affect time and space? You'll have to read and find out!

Great Suspense

From the very first page, "Closet" burrowed under my skin and left me with a serious case of the chills! Have you ever had that fleeting, forbidden thought of someone just... vanishing? This book dives headfirst into that unsettling territory, weaving a narrative that made me question the delicate threads of cause and effect. Prepare to lose yourself in a story that will have you contemplating the "what ifs" long after you turn the final page. Trust me, this one will keep you up at night!

This story is gripping and full of suspense. The main character is completely believable - we've all met guys like this. As the story progresses, you can tell things won't end well for him, but you never know exactly when or how the other shoe will drop. The character is well-developed, and the plot keeps you guessing. The premise is creepy but fun, and there's a growing sense of dread/anticipation as you watch the events unfold. The ending is perfectly satisfying and ties together the little details sprinkled throughout the story, which may not seem important at the time. Those details add up to a deliciously twisted finish.

Suspenseful and Satisfying
