Set in Regency Era, this is a story about a young girl searching for an adventure and crosses paths with a man by chance while she is using a false name. As she struggles to meet her family's loving yet unwanted expectations, she learns about heartache and disappointments along the way but grows with encouragements of those around her. Some familiar characters from Pride and Prejudice make an appearance in this light-hearted book while there is a theme of slight sexual innuendo and mild violence. Story
What if Mr. Darcy owned Netherfield and was persuaded to take a holiday there as a seemingly a modest gentleman? He has his father's brother, the honourable Judge Darcy, to support him with the heavy burdens on his shoulders during his respite in Hertfordshire after Georgiana’s difficult summer. Elizabeth Bennet does not form her prejudice against Bingley's visitor and a platonic friendship forms. This story contains several adventurous scenarios with mild language and reference to kidnapping and sexual innuendo.

Story
Tragedy strikes the Gardiner family and Elizabeth sacrifices her own prospects to help the family heal. She performs a heroic act while in London and then has to deal with the consequences for her and her family. Upon her return to Longhorn she attends the Assembly where Mr. Darcy very much does not act the gentleman. This is the story of a young woman overcoming all that is thrown at her, metaphorically. Caroline Bingley did not literally throw something at Elizabeth, however much she was tempted. This is variation on the classic story, with accurate historical details.
