More Chick Lit than Romance

This book might be listed under romance category but I think it would be better listed under Chick Lit, as there was very little romance in it.

The book is a light, humorous story about your average suburban mother who never has enough time in the day to complete household chores and spend time with her kids. When her youngest starts preschool she experiences the euphoria of realizing she now has some "me time" which she hasn't had since the first of her oldest who is now in second grade.

During her first day of "me time" she gets zapped with a blue flash and next thing she knows she has everything (or almost everything) figured out, she's got her house cleaned and organized, she's baking like a gourmet baker, she's got plenty of time for her family, etc.

Of course she didn't get zapped with the blue flash for nothing and she soon realizes she has been recruited into a super secret organization (SSO) and is tasked with infiltrating her son's elementary school.

The book was a lot of fun to listen to and suitable for mature teenagers and older. There's very little foul language in the book but there is one place where the F bomb is dropped a couple of times by the main character out of sheer frustration.

The narrator did a great job with giving the characters a unique voice and although there's a couple of places that could benefit from some minor editing, overall she did a great job. (I emailed the author to alert her to the issues so they might be corrected in future offers inf the book).

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Hopefully there's a sequel, I'd love to see what Cupcake does next.
