About this listen

As a wedding photographer, Cara Mitchell only sees love through the lens of her camera. She has no time for trying to figure it out on her own.

So when her temporary trip to Maple Glen to help her aunt turns into a matchmaking attempt, Cara has no idea that Vince Bradley, Maple Glen’s finest deputy and the very man she’s been hoping to avoid, would be the one writing her a ticket for parking in a restricted zone.

So much for small town charm.

Vince knows Cara isn't planning to stick around. Her heart lies with her clients in the city. But that doesn’t stop him from handing over his own heart to the gorgeous stranger who swept into his life so unexpectedly.

Can Vince convince Cara that she deserves the happiness she captures in her photographs? Or will she return to the city and leave him to try and remember life without her?

Everything’s sweet in Maple Glen and Vince has no intentions of letting Cara leave without realizing that for herself.

Coffee for Two is a series and it it a delightful story. This is book two. Cara thought she was satisfied in New York until she returned home and fell in love. Her car messed up and she got a ticket . The police officer was at the coffee shop where her Aunt Fran ran . Cara came in complaint and that is where they met. I received a arc of this book and I highly recommend reading.

I love small town romances, they are the perfect escape. There are no secrets, everyone knows your business and wants to get involved. Cara finds herself home to help out her aunt, she finds herself thrown into the matchmaking event of the town. Stopped by the eligible town cop, Vince gives her a ticket. He feels bad and from there these two are thrown together. But is there enough chemistry to make her stay and leave the big city? I love stories like these. They are easy, heart warming listens and just make me feel good. Cara learns some good life lessons about what happiness is and Vince is the ultimate romantic. Maple Glen is the perfect place to spend the afternoon!

Lorana Hoopes brings it all to life with a wonderful performance. She is able to connect with the characters and with her understanding, give them the perfect personalities. I enjoyed her voices and look forward to my next visit to Maple Glen.

I hate to leave a negative review, but I struggled with this story. first let me say, I enjoyed the narration. I've listened to several books by her before and enjoy her simple style.

the story itself kind of felt all over the place. there are going to be some spoilers here, just so I can explain myself. first of all, the author used the word jalopy way more times than anyone should ever use it. I was rolling my eyes hearing it so much. second, it jumped too much. like there was an instance Vince had at work that was sort of downplayed but then felt like it was going to be more important, and it really wasnt, so I didn't understand the purpose of it at all. then when Kara is gone, a month goes by, but you don't realize because it seems like less than a chapter later she's back. you only know it's a month because it's said almost in passing. then all of the sudden, they're in love, with no build up. she's back in town and they're in love, with no private declaration. that's always my favorite part of a romance novel, that first declaration of love, and I felt jipped out of it. I have heard of this author before this book, but honestly don't know if I've read anything before, if maybe this book is just not her best work.

I enjoyed this story. I was glad after reading an earlier book in the series that Cara got her story. She and Vince had both been hurt in their pasts but Aunt Fran, the town matchmaker, made sure they found each other. However, it seems awful quick to me how fast they fell in love given past hurts. What happens to their new relationship though as the city life calls and Cara leaves town again? Will there always be coffee for two?

Lorana Hoopes' did a very nice with the narration. Aunt Fran has a unique voice that carries over from book to book.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving this review.
