About this listen

Cold Pepper is a satirical view of how a woman scorns the absurdity of the legal system. Her personal "Joan of Arc" heroine is Aileen Wuornos. Aileen was the infamous American woman serial killer of men who wronged her. Charlize Theron portrayed Aileen in the film "Monster." Other actresses such as Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Garner make women assassins/killers look "Oh so sexy" as far as Pepper is concerned. Pepper is a law-abiding, church-going court stenographer, A straight arrow for the most part. She's tired of seeing repeat sex offenders and domestic abusers, along with their nauseating attorneys - in her courtroom. The creeps are always getting off with their crimes against women and children. It's sickening and disgusting as far as she's concerned. One day she just "snapped." She decides to take matters in her own hands. She makes Thelma and Louise look like a bunch of ballerinas. She's an expert marks-woman. So Pepper goes on a covert killing spree. She murders the chronic offenders and their repulsive lawyers. ( Dark comedy overtones) She's having a ball in ridding The City of "pests" - of the two-legged variety. Pepper is definitely a woman of many talents as one soon discovers in this mini-novelette! Every woman will love Cold Pepper. She lives and breathes "poetic justice." Of course Pepper dates the handsome police detective. She has Happy Hour every Friday with her female work buddies - "The Girls." Everything is so-so "normal" in Pepper's world - on the exterior that is! Nobody but nobody suspects Cold Pepper - of any misbehavior. The only one who truly knows Pepper is Pepper. Cold Pepper is also written as a screenplay. It is circulating to interested filmmakers. It would make a great mini-series. Mark Twain once said, "The two most important days of your life is the day you are born and the day you find out why." In Pepper's case, she feels she knows exactly why she was born! In her mind, she was made to make wrong things right. Now who can argue with that? Crime Crime Fiction Murder Women's Fiction Witty Law
