About this listen

Hockey and football coaches on a collision course…

Lemon

With years of hard work, I've made the Rainbow Dorset University Unicorns football team the pride of the state. My reputation speaks for itself, so the school stays out of my way, and that's how I like it. If they can't handle my sparkle, they have no business in my shine.

Now, there's someone new on campus—a washed-up hockey player hired to whip the team into shape. The school had the audacity to cut my budget to pay him!

Needless to say, I'm furious. He just made an enemy he definitely doesn't want. But why does he have to be so gorgeous?! Why does he have to have a beautiful wife and a perfect life? And why can't I keep my hands off him and just yell at him like I intend?

Hansley

I was directionless when I retired from hockey. So I jumped on the offer from Rainbow Dorset University to be their head hockey coach. The campus is like nothing I've ever seen; full of rainbows, community, kindness, and inclusivity. It feels like I'm in a brand new world—a better world—and I'm excited to be a part of it.

Everything is amazing until I meet Coach Lemon Frost, who clearly despises me, though I don't know why. He's definitely out for my job. But then he keeps kissing me and sending my entire world spinning on its axis.

I can't tell if he hates me or wants me. The line is blurred. All I know is Lemon is about to make my entire world implode when I tell my wife I've been having an affair. Yet… I think I'm here for it.

Man… is this suppose to be romance?

I did enjoy reading this story but it was heartbreaking. He was married and seemed to have a good and trusting marriage. Sudden he wants a divorce…. He’s not picking anyone over her? Yes he did pick someone over her. And yes! Lemon is a home wrecker.

Bored

Ugh, I hate give poor reviews, especially when I genuinely like the author. This was the most boring piece of fluff I’ve listened to in years. There were no depth to the characters backstory and no challenge to the character’s actions. To me it was crap, and I feel bad about myself for finishing it.

JUST NO

I genuinely have enjoyed Crea Reitan books. This is truly the worst book ever written by her. First, cheating on his wife. Normally cheating wouldn’t totally bother me. However, she portrays Lemon as a disgusting home wrecker and the wife as frankly a loving and genuinely kind person who basically cannot have done anything to control the outcome.

Which let’s be real that is part of life. However, in most cases life basically will get you back when you wrong others. Your negative actions will cause negative consequences. No consequences. At all. Also, there is no buildup. Basically Lemon kisses the hockey coach and he is like sure no problem? He isn’t gay. He hasn’t ever questioned his sexuality. He is in love with his wife. One kiss leads to a hand job which leads to a blow job? With little to no thought or concern?!? Unrealistic. This whole book was just awful. So disappointed in the author and the book. Regret that I finished it, regret that I bought it, the only good was the narration.

100% don’t recommend.

Yawn

I have listened to almost all of this authors books and liked all of them, with the exception of this one. I think I disliked it so much because one MC is SO unlikeable. The reasons he is the way he is are not revealed until too late in the book, and by then it's, honestly, too little too late. The other MC is the human equivalent of beige curtains, he's so devoid of any tangible personality. I truly couldn't have cared any less about either of the MCs. I finished it, but honestly wish I hadn't wasted a credit on it.
