This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I was especially excited about this book because there were things that popped up that I wasn’t expecting.
As usual with these books, God is awesome and faithful.

I find it annoying for women characters to have to be stubborn/stupid to act tough. Ugh.

The narrator also made the heroine voice breathy to distinguish it from male characters. That added to the heroine seeming less engaging.

What otherwise would be good Christian fiction, I downgraded for several instances of bad language. Don't know why the author chose to use a few bad words.....

wow, I have found a new author I love. no illicit sex...yeah. book ends with couple pledging lives to each other. narrator ok. story is mystery that goes back many years. lots of shooting at the heroine, while dea officer works to keep her safe as well as solve this mystery...while keeping newly orphaned neice (baby) safe......he has his hands full. highly recommend this book. kept me riveted the whole way through!!
