Very good book for increasing basic IT knowledge

The 100 question final exam at the end is an excellent overview and easy to take repeatedly for ensuring retention.

FINALLY PASSED!!!!

This course proves to be a potent tool for those preparing for the CompTIA exam. It strikes a commendable balance between technical depth and accessibility, making it a worthwhile addition to any IT professional's study resources.

The course, delivered by an experienced IT professional, covers a wide range of key concepts, from networking and cybersecurity to hardware and software fundamentals. The narrator's clear and steady voice keeps the information manageable and engaging, even when dealing with complex technical topics.

A unique aspect of this course is the inclusion of real-world scenarios and problem-solving exercises. These practical elements not only reinforce learning but also provide a feel for the kinds of challenges one might face in an actual IT environment.

Moreover, the course offers valuable test-taking strategies tailored for the CompTIA exam, addressing common pitfalls and anxiety-management techniques, which can be incredibly helpful for first-time test-takers.

The addition of a PDF guide with diagrams and visual aids complements the audio content well, providing much-needed visual context for complex concepts. However, it's worth noting that due to the highly technical nature of the material, some learners might still prefer a more traditional textbook or hands-on practice to fully grasp certain topics.

Despite this, the course stands as a robust and practical study tool. Whether used as a primary study resource or a supplement to other materials, it's well-equipped to help aspirants grasp the knowledge needed to excel in the CompTIA exam. In short, it's a worthy investment for any IT professional aiming for CompTIA certification.

Great Study tool but doesn't go into detail!

I like this audio book! I have the full CompTIA A+ book study study but this is great for studying on the go whether your walking, driving, or traveling through the airport. It's also a great refresher! My main method using this book is walking on the treadmill and listen to this book while following along with the PDF. I feel like I retain the knowledge better. It's worth buying as a study guide.

I’m glad I got this book

I’m glad I got this book. My learning the acronyms, term & analogy and being able to listen to it over and over has been very helpful.

Just a summary, not very detailed.

Compared to the Professor Messer series on YouTube, this course is very lackluster in details. I'd say nearly a quarter of the time the narrator is talking about the structure of the audiobook and not the actual materials. The test questions and supporting materials that come with the audio are way more valuable than the audio IMO.

Outdated

Comptia makes changes to their certification tests every few years & the information in the book is clearly for an older test.

Also it gives you lists of information that you have to learn on your own, instead of teaching you about each technology & concept

Accompanying PDF was helpful though

WAY too vague to pass your A+ exams.

I bought this a couple days before my exam to listen to in the car for a few last minute refreshers.
Thankfully, I studied very thouroughly and passed the Core 1 before buying this book, so I was able to recognize that this book is too vague.
PLEASE do not listen to this and then go take your exams. The A+ is very very detailed and difficult. This book simply does not cover the small details the A+ requires.
