Don't miss this startling first book in a breathtaking new trilogy from Teri Terry, queen of the YA psychological thriller and author of the best-selling Slated trilogy!
Urgent!
An epidemic is sweeping the country.
You are among the infected. There is no cure, and you cannot be permitted to infect others.
You are now under quarantine. The 5 percent of the infected who survive are dangerous and will be taken into the custody of the army.
Young runaway Callie survived the disease but not the so-called treatment. Her brother, Kai, is still looking for her. And his new friend, Shay, may hold the key to uncovering what truly happened.
From the author of the international sensation Slated comes the first book in a powerful new story of survival and transformation, love and power.

I love Teri Terry!
I finished the Slated series by Teri Terry and struggled to find another book to really capture my attention until this! She's a great world builder and creates compelling characters.

Enjoyable Listen
I really enjoyed the majority of this book. I thought it was clever despite dealing with a theme that's been written about by so many others. There were quite a few characters that I instantly like, the main protagonist being one of them. Whew!
Both narrators were very good, but Laura Aikman was definitely my favourite. I'm very picky with narrators, but I think I might have found my new favourite one. She's really very good at both dialects and delivering emotion and action.
The story started off really good, but for me it sort of sagged a bit in the middle. Also, the hearty eyed, teenage love at first sight isn't quite my cup of tea. Personally I could have done without much of the oogling and longing. I also found the main protagonist's doubts in the mid part and onwards a bit...it felt a little bit put in there for the sake of being there.
There isn't a great diversity in this book. So if that's something important to you then this book might not be for you.
But those were the only few things that I noticed. Other than that it was a good, solid, and entertaining listen.
