Story
In November 2014, 13 members of the Biden family gathered on Nantucket for Thanksgiving, a tradition they had been celebrating for the past 40 years; it was the one constant in what had become a hectic, scrutinized, and overscheduled life. The Thanksgiving holiday was a much-needed respite, a time to connect, a time to reflect on what the year had brought, and what the future might hold. But this year felt different from all those that had come before.

In July 2004, Barack Obama electrified the Democratic National Convention with an address that spoke to Americans across the political spectrum. Now, in The Audacity of Hope, Senator Obama calls for a different brand of politics: a politics for those weary of bitter partisanship and alienated by the "endless clash of armies" we see in Congress and on the campaign trail; a politics rooted in the faith, inclusiveness, and nobility of spirit at the heart of "our improbable experiment in democracy".

Story
It took me a lifetime to have the courage and the clarity to write my memoir. I want to tell the story of the moments - the ups and downs, the triumphs and traumas, the debacles and the dreams - that contributed to the person I am today. This book is composed of my memories, my mishaps, my struggles, my survival, and my songs. Unfiltered. I went deep into my childhood and gave the scared little girl inside of me a big voice. I let the abandoned and ambitious adolescent have her say, and the betrayed and triumphant woman I became tell her side.

Story
This is the story of the rise to national power of a desperately poor young man from the Texas Hill Country. The Path to Power reveals in extraordinary detail the genesis of the almost superhuman drive, energy, and ambition that set LBJ apart. It follows him from the Hill Country to New Deal Washington, from his boyhood through the years of the Depression to his debut as Congressman, his heartbreaking defeat in his first race for the Senate, and his attainment, nonetheless, at age 31, of the national power for which he hungered.

Al Franken, Giant of the Senate is a book about an unlikely campaign that had an even more improbable ending: the closest outcome in history and an unprecedented eight-month recount saga, which is pretty funny in retrospect. It's a book about what happens when the nation's foremost progressive satirist gets a chance to serve in the United States Senate and, defying the low expectations of the pundit class, actually turns out to be good at it.

Engaging
This is a collection of interviews with Joe Biden. The introduction is by MSNBC’s Mike Barnicke. A sample of some of the interviewers are: Jenna Bush Hager, Al Roker, Melinda Gates and Janet Napolitano. These interviews took place after the publication of his book about the death of his son, Beau. This book is interesting and Biden is a natural storyteller. This is a good book to read as Biden may decide to run for president. Through these interviews one gets to know Biden a bit better both as a person and a politician.
The book is five hours and twenty-two minutes. Biden does a good job narrating the book.
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.

Great - but too much repetition of same stories
Since this is a collection of excerpts from about 25 interviews and talks given as part of his book tour, the questions and answers are repeated ad nauseum. While the attendees of the events are hearing them for the first time the reader (or listener) of the book is hearing the same thing rehashed time after time. I would rather the editing hadn't been so severe. I would have rather heard longer excerpts from fewer interviews, then the painfully short, infinitely repetitive ones selected here. Just read the book "Promise me, Dad" instead.

A Very Different Book
I really enjoyed reading "Conversations With Joe" I felt that there was still some sanity in Washington D.C. something very refreshing from everything we hear in our everyday lives.

A fantastic book
A book that I found to be so great. I found this book to be developmental and maturative for a young man coming of age such as myself. I found this book to be worthwhile and really relatable. I further highly recommend this book.

I've always loved Joe
It's no secret that I love Joe personally - we don't always agree politically but that's never stopped me from voting for him. He's an incredible man who has done incredible things with his life. Some of his stories are repetitive but I think that comes with being asked the same things over and over again so they get answered without being prompted. Hearing Joe talk about Beau is heartbreaking and beautiful. I'm going to have to get the book now, because this family has meant so much to me over the course of my adult life and I'd be remiss if I didn't learn even more.

Another great Joe Biden book
This is a great audio book. it's perfect for the format because Joe is talking to us as he does a book tour around the country. I recommend it highly for those who want to know the heart, or backbone, of Biden.
