About this listen
Centuries ago, the gods of earth and sea went to war and ravaged the worlds of humans. Now, the oceans have swelled and mortals have made their homes on floating cities, using precious sea glass as the key to their survival.
Vila is one of those survivors, fighting every day for control in this brutal world as a Blue Lady and prize fighter. But when a strange corruption seeps through the waters of the Planks, Vila must find allies in an unlikely group to help the people she loves.
Narrio is a master thief, making his way on wits, charm and luck; until a secret cult recruits him for a mysterious mission. Now he must travel to the Planks for what may be his most dangerous heist yet.
Something is coming, and it threatens the existence of all. When the moon rises, the seas will change, and nothing will ever be the same.
Welcome to the world of the Swell.
Welcome to Corrupted Tides

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Peter Pan meets Water World in this steampunk masterpiece
This “oceanpunk” dark fantasy is so gripping and visceral. While the world is dark, the main characters are likable and their journey through the narrative is engaging. I can’t wait for the next book! The narrator’s annunciation sometimes bothered me but that was a minor thing.

Captivating Build-Up, Worth the Wait!
This was a thrilling ride from start to finish. The author masterfully built up the tension, layer by layer, leaving me eagerly turning the pages (or, in this case, listening to the next chapter). The pacing was just right—slow enough to savor the intricate details, yet fast enough to keep me hooked.
What truly stood out to me was how the plot twist was handled. The entire book felt like a crescendo leading up to that moment, and when it hit, it was nothing short of brilliant.
The narration was top-notch as well. The narrator did an excellent job bringing the characters to life, and their voice perfectly captured the mood and atmosphere of the story. It was an added bonus that they sang through the songs to ensure the full experience. Highly recommended!

Visualization and character development
In all honesty, I rarely engage in reading or listening to books due to my ADHD, which hinders my ability to concentrate on the content. This is the first book I have read or listened to in eight years. However, I must express my genuine admiration for the work. The narration was amazing. I have been following her since early November, and when I learned about this book, I had high expectations, which were still surpassed.
As a truck driver, I managed to complete the book in a single trip. Remarkably, a nine-hour drive felt like a mere thirty minutes because the Narrator's and author's vivid storytelling brought the words to life.
The book itself is a remarkable tale, accurately reflecting the author's description and conveying the intended atmosphere. It evoked a distinct Pirates of the Caribbean vibe, set in a darker era, with subtle elements reminiscent of Assassin's Creed Black Flag. I am eagerly anticipating the release of the second book and intend to purchase additional books.

Exciting spicy fantasy
The steam punk mixed with water world mixed with fantasy was amazing! I loved the twists and turns! I lived for the darkness with human compassion, the spice and steam, all of it! Warning, this is only book one and it leaves you wanting more!

The Narrator is amazing
The book is very well written. the characters are detailed and feel realistic, however as good as the writing and author are and they are amazing. The Narrator truly brings this book to life. She adds so much feeling to how she reads the book and even though I already read the book, listening to Hel made the book even better. Definitely recommending this to others

Good Book Elevated by Great Narration
The audiobook is incredibly well-produced, featuring a compelling story and innovative worldbuilding. The story was good, though my gripe was with relationships that didn't make sense—like Viola and Rance—but the narrator truly elevates the experience. She breathes life into the text, adding layers of emotion and nuance that made listening even more enjoyable than reading. Although I enjoyed the book, hearing it narrated by Hel made it an entirely new and better experience.

Fresh world building
This was a fresh take on a futuristic Waterworld, but leaning more towards fantasy. It was gritty, and the world building was really cool.
