About this listen

Vanella Morris is extremely happy with her long-time boyfriend, Alton. But Vanella is also uneasy and apprehensive about making the big commitment. The time has come to make the decision of her life: walk away now from this good thing, or convince Alton that, by living together, the marital bliss he longs for can still be theirs.©2005 Cherlyn Michaels (P)2005 Recorded Books African American Contemporary Contemporary Romance Marriage & Long-Term Partnerships Relationships Romance

This was a great book but starts off slow. The ending is something that you might not be expecting. I think the writer did a great job and I can't wait to read some more of her books. I didn't care to much for the reader who read the book for you heard her swallowing everytime she started a new sentence. Over all a great read.

I really liked this book and would recommend it . I wish this book was a movie or TV show. It had real life issues and the couple was great together.

I'm glad all worked out for her brother and father. I knew like Alton that something was up and that might be the issue with the father. The first clue was the window issue and what was said about the family.

As always the narrator was great.

This was a good book that takes you through the twists and turns of a woman's misconception about relationships between men and women. The only draw back to listening to this book is the narrartor swallowing at every pause in the reading the book. You can audibly hear her swallowing and it can get very distracting while listening.

Good but....

The narrator reads extremely slow. She also breathes heavily like she has asthma and swallows very VERY often. I couldn’t finish the book. I really tried. However the narrator ruined the entire book for me.

The narrator is awful
