About this listen
“Fae. They’re real. They’re walking amongst us, harnassing powers that are slowly bringing earth to its knees.”
The world has been slowly dying for years, probably long before anyone realized it. Now, dark has risen only weeks after strange dreams began to plague Milana. Sickness, war, famine, and so much more flow across the earth’s surface, killing those Fae don’t deem worthy of living in the new regime. Milana and her mother fight to survive, while she learns more about herself than she ever thought possible.
The Dark King of the Fae is cutthroat, rage, and power all-consuming. He’s on a mission to save the world and the realms that parallel it before extinction comes for humans and Fae. But something is haunting him, gripping his resolve like a vice and ingesting him bit by bit.
In the dimmest of times, two souls will intertwine, piecing a puzzle together that’s been broken for centuries.
Angsty romance meets seething rage as Anwynn and Milana try to find themselves while saving their people in a world pitted against them.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Piers Adams never knew his parents or birthplace. All he wants from his mundane life is a better apartment and fewer working hours serving drinks at a club in Asheville, North Carolina. Sure, weirdness happens around him occasionally. Coincidences, right? He can’t possibly wish things into existence. After all, he’s only human. Maybe. It’s hard living down to a nickname like Wicked, but Prince Wycke Bertillian of the magical realm tries. He enjoys his lack of responsibilities until he’s coerced into a clandestine mission: find an evil sorceress’s hidden son in the human realm.

Story
It's a new start—brand new school in a completely different state. For the first time, I now have the freedom to be unapologetically me. But as my luck would have it, I have shit taste in men. The first man to pay me a compliment has so many red flags, that I think I'm in a storm. Life can't get any worse… until he turns into a stalker. Then my stalker ends up brutally murdered, I walk blindly into a serial killer's nest, and I catch the attention of a sociopath.

Perfectly done
I was so excited to listen to this one! I love the story so much. Nate was the perfect voice for this. I loved how the differences between the characters voices were done. Now I can't wait for book two!

Fantasy at its finest!
KM Mixon’s writing paired with the narration by Nate was a match made in fantasy heaven. Nate brought all these characters to life! I’ve read this book before but getting to listen to it was like listening to a whole new story and like being immersed in Milana and Anwyn’s world.

What a wrong brought to life!
I read this book when it came out, but listening to it brought it to a whole new level. The narrator did an amazing job voicing the different characters, and audio for fantasy is such an experience with all the names, places, and language.
I love this take on apocalypse meets fantasy. The female main character going from weak and helpless to something so much more and the men 😮💨😮💨 the set up for what’s to come, I can’t wait!
