Good storyline

I was gifted this book via audiobook boom in exchange for an honest review. I would have given the story more stars but it ended wrong. I like Ms. Mendoza's short stories very much but they always end like it is the end of the story. this one was as if it was the middle of the story. The production was off since there were several places where the narrator repeated themselves. Overall the narrator was pretty good. Jen made a bad choice and ran. She had been running for years before she finally got to the ranch with the bear shifters. And the shift and her reaction were just a little off. There was nothing that led up to him revealing himself. And then she just acted like she was on an acid trip and fell out dreaming. Also for Jen to just open the door without even looking out of the curtain after being on the run for years did not hold true to how events should happen. Let's hope that if there is a sequel it will be better written. Perhaps if this one had about thirty more minutes of detail this would be a great story.

I was given this book in return for unbiased honest opinion. This book had a great storyline I love the fact that she is on the run but man when the best part happens the story is over. I love a short but sometimes these series that can't stand alone just get me so upset when they just stop. Overall though knowing that this is a non-stand alone series you do get a pretty good story in less than an hour. The narration was great as well. I loved the male voice.

This book by Cynthia Mendoza was a quick easy read/listen to. I enjoy Cynthia's stories. They are light hearted, fun and quick. Nice to have between big books. There is a sense of humor in each of her books. The narrator did a good job. Looking forward to the next quick listen.
