A good reference.

I enjoyed the variety of topics. Some things were elementary and others more detailed. I thought it funny that in the 'Top 10' unsolved crimes, Tupac and Biggies murders were included whereas other more notorious unsolved cases never got a mention.

Clear and concise.

I was curious about law enforcement and decided to listen to this book. It was easy to listen to on 1.3x speed. The author filled in the gaps of knowledge I had regarding the criminal justice system.

Good for the novice but dated

The author was not joking around when he said this book was for dummies. There was almost nothing in this book that I did not already know; but that doesn't mean that is the case for the average reader. For the novice, this is a good introduction to Criminology, hence the third star. Also, the book is dated already. For my personal liking it was between 1.5 to 2 Stars.
