About this listen

Kieran thought she’d found the perfect way to disappear.

After months on the run, sneaking onto a luxury cruise liner wouldn’t be easy, but she’d done worse things to survive.

The ship is owned by Roslyn Travel Co, the sole proprietor of a mysterious vacation destination exclusively for the filthy rich.

But in an attempt to acquire some spending money along the way, she robs the wrong person.

Haughty, self-centered Sacha looked like the perfect target…at first. But he’s not entirely as he seems. In fact, nothing on the ship is what she expected.

With restaurants that serve food she’s never heard of and games that defy the laws of nature, she soon realizes that she might not know what she’s gotten herself into. And even if she wanted to disembark, she discovers that there are bigger threats waiting in the depths below.

Kieran soon realizes that the ship might not be going where she thinks it is, and Sacha is the only person who can save her from a watery grave.

Well that sucked. I hate cliff hangers! I was really getting into the story too. The narration was fine! the MFC was a bit of a whiny brat and so was the MMC. Hopefully the next book will show them both maturing.

This book ends with a cliffhanger of sorts. It's reminiscent of a short story. The end is not a leave you angry cliffhanger but a leave it up to the imagination of the reader ending, like a movie where they walk off but there's still so much more story to be had. I was left with so many unanswered questions, but in such a way that I'm OK not knowing and filling in the pieces on my own. in that sense, this book was masterfully written. The story is both about the FMC and MMC finding love in the best way that they each can give while trying to figure out the new world they find themselves in. If there's a book 2, I would definitely pick it up but I'm also satisfied filling in the blanks on my own. It's a rare book that can leave me feeling that way. The narrator did a great job.
