Publisher's summary

A dark and obsessive stalker romance that's NOT for the faint of heart.

My world changed forever the night I attended a party. Not just any party. A party for the rich and powerful elite. That's where I made the worst mistake of my life. I caught the attention of the perfect man.

Kaden Raskova is Prince Charming in a finely tailored suit. Mysterious. Sophisticated. Impossibly handsome. He's taken a special interest in me and my musical talent. But there's something off that I cant quite put my finger on. Moments where I sense a monster behind the mask of a man. A predator that's luring his prey to his dungeon of cruel delights. That prey being me.

As the dark and morbid truth unravels, I come to a grim conclusion. I have to get him before he gets me. And there's no way were both making it out alive.

Super suspenseful delight

This story had so many twist and surprises. I enjoyed listening to this story. It checked the box for myself and can’t wait to read the second book in the series.

Plot Twist

This was an interesting book, while not my normal genre of book I found it engaging.

Well that was unexpected

This dark romance was great with an unexpected ending. I’d highly recommend. I rarely come across Bmcs so that was also a good surprise as well.

🔥 Velvet's Verdict: 🔥

"Cruel Delights" is like a twisted game of chess where the pieces are all serial killers. Sienne Vega serves up a dark romance that's equal parts thrilling, disturbing, and steamy.

Lyra and Kaden's cat-and-mouse game is so convoluted, it'll make your head spin faster than a record on the Velvet Piano. Their chemistry is more explosive than Kaden's temper, and twice as dangerous.

Vega doesn't just push boundaries - she obliterates them. From masked encounters to sleep assault, this book explores the darkest corners of desire and morality. The plot twists come at you faster than Kaden can dispose of a body, keeping you guessing until the very end.

Exeter Stone and Star Williams bring these complex characters to life, capturing both the menace and the magnetism. Stone's delivery of Kaden's threats? Let's just say I needed a cold shower... and maybe a security system.

If you like your romance pitch-black, your leads more twisted than a pretzel, and your content spicier than ghost pepper ice cream, "Cruel Delights" is your next sinful listen. Just maybe keep the lights on while you're at it.

It’s always the narrators isn’t it?

Performance was comparable to playing popcorn reading in grade school. I’d give half a credit for this purchase just for the story. It was entertaining.

Twisty, Dark, Hot!

This story has blown me away. Without giving away the plot, I never saw it coming. Worthy of listening to again and again.

Awful. Don’t waste a credit

I’ve never left 1 star. I’m embarrassed to have to do so now.
The FMC is insufferable. Her friend is just as bad. The premise is full contrary details.

And the narrators. Listening at 1.0 was like - I can’t even come up with something bad enough. I sped up to 1.2 and eventually 1.5 just to see if the story would improve. Spoiler: it didn’t. Both narrators mispronounced multiple words. The FMC narrator made some odd choices about cadence and inflection.

As for the actual writing, it reads like a young teen diary full of awkwardness and secondhand embarrassment.

I’ll be returning this. Gross waste of time.
