About this listen

A Blackboard best-selling author, Camika Spencer has perfectly captured the corporate world in this tale of success and secrets. Joyce, Margaret, and Faulkner all work for a major telephone company. Although Faulkner should be promoted, Joyce, her manager, seems determined to prevent it. And although Joyce and long-time employee Margaret used to be best friends, now they no longer speak. When an unexpected tragedy strikes at the office, Faulkner decides to find out what's behind these problems, no matter what the cost.©1969 Camika Spencer (P)1998 Recorded Books Fiction Women's Fiction

Critic reviews

"Spencer has captured human dynamics that women face in the workplace in this light-hearted look at the office politics that influence performance and promotion." (Booklist)

I would have like to have known more on various characters, but I assume that is for sequels. I'm not hype about the book. It was definitely a good book, it wasn't GREAT. I would recommend.

It was about work drama, but not a lot of emphasis on cubicle, I guess I was being to literal. The characters were well developed. NOT predictable, which was a plus!

Good Read.
