Incredible stories! Near monotone narration
Disclaimer: I only listened to the first three stories.
H.G. wells writes an incredibly compelling set of short stories. Unexpected twists, slow build ups, fast punches. The use of context and open observations reels you in and keeps you engaged right up to the end of each short story. The writer’s tone is perfectly suspenseful and amused.
However, the narration makes me feel like I’m reading a dictionary. There could be more pauses, changes in pace, variation in tone as well as volume. All things which could be fixed. I wish the narrator saw this and volunteered to try again, because the short stories are so good that they deserve to be brought to life in Spanish.
