Dixie Cash
About this listen
The best-selling Dixie Cash novels featuring Domestic Equalizers Debbie Sue Overstreet and Edwina Perkins-Martin go down like a cold sarsaparilla on a hot Texas day.
Hey, baby, Debbie and Edwina aren’t likely to thank anybody very much when a despicable sneak thief pilfers Elvis Presley’s blue suede shoes—the main exhibit at a Salt Lick, Texas, festival for the King. But with everyone’s favorite Southern detectives on the case, the proceedings are likely to be as tasty as a bacon, banana, and peanut-butter sandwich.
©2009 Dixie Cash (P)2010 Recorded Books, LLCWould you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
It was a good read, but based on the other books by Dixie Cash my expectations were higher. This book was more romance than mystery. The other Dixie Cash books do a better job of intertwining both in the story. At one point I wondered if the author lost track of the plot related to the missing shoes. I hope more of their books make it to audible because they are fun I just also hope they go back to being a little Nancy Drew meets Lucy and Ethel and a little less match making.Would you be willing to try another book from Dixie Cash? Why or why not?
Oh definitely give it another try. I have listened to all of the Dixie Cash books on audible and this is the only one that disappointed me.somewhat disappointed

Though this book was slower than the former 4 books it was still fun. All of the books in this series has the same line up there is always a little mystery, a new boy and new girl. The new boy and girl have differences then become a couple with the aid of Debbie Sue and Edwina. In this one it is Elvis's birthday and his blue suede shoes have gone missing. The mystery wouldn't be solved without the help of the Domestic Equalizer the second business that Debbie Sue and Edwina run out of their beauty salon, the Styling Station.
A Fun Book To Listen To

The big showdown at the end.If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
A film that will entertain you without trying to figure out the "deep meaning" of what the author is trying to say.Any additional comments?
