Can’t wait for the next one now

Migo is now the King. Katsi has now been accepted by the Shamans. Migo is now on a mission to find out who murdered his father and what it was his father was searching for. Katsi wants to travel to find another storm caller to teach her about her magic. Their paths will not only cross again, but their missions will take them to the same place as well.
Now that Migo is king, there is peace between the kingdom and the shamans. But he still must figure out what his father was searching for. Leaving Hatan in charge as regent, we also learn that not everyone in the kingdom is happy that Migo is king. There is a plot to rid the Kingdom of the Ricadian line and instill someone else as ruler.
Katsi is still coming into her powers, but is finding out just how powerful she really is. And she is questioning why she is being told to do things. She is tired of being a puppet and I love that she is growing a spine. Migo is just as besotted with Katsi as before and it truly shows in this book. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that he is only a teenager still. He has been though so much in his short life and has so much responsibility but does not run away from it.
I enjoyed getting to hear about things from Hatan’s POV as well. He’s definitely a reluctant regent but tries his best to keep the kingdom running. Not made for politics, he has trouble sorting out the political machinations going on around him and it gets him into some hot water for sure.
There are plot twists and epic battles to keep you engaged in this book the whole time! Especially at then end where we get so many reveals, it had my head spinning! All the “truths” from one character or another is giving me whiplash as I try to figure out what is really going on and who should be trusted! I’ve listened to this series on audio and want to continue, but idk if I can wait for the next one to come out to find out what happens next!

An exciting sequel to Scorned Prince!

This book was absolutely fantastic! 10/10! The narration was great. The story itself was just as good, if not better than the first time I read it! I highly recommend this book, especially if you love fantasy. All ages can listen/ read this series. Even 11-year-old children love and enjoy them!
