About this listen

The body of Abigail Rockwell, an investigative journalist and friend of DCI Jack Collier, is found on a Saturday morning in her office in Jesmond Newcastle. Because of her relationship with Collier, Superintendent Fox of Northumbria Police has no choice but to call in a team from Durham to undertake the investigation into her death. As the investigation proceeds, it soon becomes apparent that Jack Collier is a suspect, and the team at Northumbria Police are left powerless as Jack is finally arrested and taken into custody. A plan is considered that will allow Oliver Cole to carry out his own investigation without breaking police codes of practice and he quickly sets about the task of proving Jack’s innocence, or guilt. The evidence begins to stack up against Jack and Oliver is in a race against time to get to the truth before Jack goes to trial. Will he prove Jack is innocent, or will he find out that Jack is guilty and be forever remembered as the man who sent his own DCI to prison for murder? Crime Fiction Mystery Traditional Detectives
