Publisher's summary

Do you have an RV, camper, or even a boat, and are looking for a simple and easy to install solar system? Or even one you can do yourself? Well, you’ve started at the right place.

This book is about using solar in your RV, boat, van, or something along those lines. Mobility, remoteness, and high power requirements are the three elements they have in common. It turns out these elements make a significant difference when it comes to the things you have to consider, how you go about installation, the equipment that is needed, and the way you use and maintain it.

Most people think of solar and instantly visualize the panels that go on top. Well, yes, that’s part of the story. There are so many other things that go into making sure that when you go to turn on a switch in your RV in the dead of night in winter or in the middle of nowhere, your heater comes on from the collectors up top to the wires and junction boxes, batteries, and other equipment.

In this book, we discuss a variety of topics, such as:

  • How kids relate to electricity
  • A workout on the theoretical terms and conceptual frameworks of solar power
  • The reality of solar power and the super easy practical aspects of getting it designed and installed, including a questionnaire to help you gauge exactly what you need
  • “Critical mission parameters” - or the two main concerns about solar power
  • A simplified strategy to increase your amp-hours when hooking up your batteries
  • What came first: the chicken or the egg? Actually there is no chick or egg, just appliances versus solar power
  • Do you want a quantitative or qualitative approach in choosing your solar panels
  • Putting it all together: General step-by-step instructions to do-it-yourself

RVing with solar power is a great way to untether yourself from the trappings of a stationary world. Getting closer to nature and finding your peace is all tied to how well you can make it comfortable within your RV, and how easy and hassle-free you make power generation. As time passes, you will see that your comfort and peace are closely tied to how efficient your power system is, and that is the reason you want to look for quality systems instead of cheap systems. I show you how to do that and stay on or under budget.

You will benefit greatly from this book. That much I can promise you. So what are you waiting for? Buy it today to get started today. You won’t regret it.

Buy a Kindle book instead

I love audiobooks -- but personally for this type of info a Kindle book would be the better choice. That way you can skip over the useless info and use the search feature when you want to look up specific information. One day Audible / Amazon will let us buy them together as one package instead of having to buy both or choose between one format or the other.
