About this listen

New York Times best-selling author Mary B. Morrison links two beloved series in a riveting tale of envy and seduction that has basketball star Darius Jones up against a woman who takes being a fan to the next level.

Darius Jones is living the good life. He's got a chance to become the league's most valuable player, he's crazy in love with his wife, and his relationship with his mom has never been better. But Darius also has a stalker who's determined to be the number one woman in his life. And no matter where he goes, she's there...scheming to kill his wife, Fancy; charming his manager and mother, Jada; manipulating his son's mother, Ashlee; and worst of all, dragging new mother Honey Thomas into the mix with one of the most heartless schemes ever. With his life quickly unraveling, Darius must gamble all he's worked for to save his wife, reclaim his son, and stop a madwoman from ruining the lives of everyone around him....

I had been excitedly waiting for this novel. I had been dying to know what happened to Honeys twins. I read most of all of the other books. I recall Ebony Mendez from other novels but the male voice didn’t feel like the voice Darius would have. It made for a long listen. Not one of my favorites.

The male narrator didn’t work for me

I enjoy the storyline. I didn't like the readers. their reading....great. however, their voices didn't match the characters, Darius voice is perfect for theatrical reading not so much for this type of character.

The story keeps you intrested

Overall the story line was good to end the series. However, the voice of Ashley,Fancy, Jada, and Bambi were all the same. This was very disappointing. The voice of Darius was sub par. He sounded angry and uptight throughout the whole story.

Voice Challenges

The narrator for Darius’ voice was horrible. He made Darius sound stiff and unintelligent. The voodoo twist was weird. That part of the storyline did not fit. I’ve enjoyed other books in the series but this one missed the mark.

Slightly off

I didn’t enjoy this book at all!! I was really looking forward to listening to this book.

Worst male narrator

I have read and listened to all Mary Morrison’s books. I don’t like saying anything negative about people’s work. I guess the best I can say is NOT use that male narrator to read your material. It was a mismatch.

Love the author but…

I have to give it to 2/5 for the narrator because the male narrator was definitely awful. His voice just did not fit the character. In my opinion it actually sound like an older man’s voice. They definitely could’ve did better. I do thoroughly enjoy this whole series. It is full of drama however, this book I feel like it was rushed the entire story was rushed. It definitely left me wanting more. The ending came way too quick and left a lot of questions. But I am invested and I can’t wait for a sequel. Please use a different narrator for Darius.

The male narrator killed the vibe.

Too many dumb story lines. And the male narrator is absolutely horrible. Wanted credit.
