About this listen
Hayden Crowe fronts an all-girls band down in Austin, Texas. Between tending bar so her sister can stay in school and dealing with the fallout after their addict father skipped town, she hasn't exactly had time to join the social media freakout over the recent outing of vampires and werewolves.
Her world comes crashing down the night she's attacked in an alley after a gig and bitten by a feral werewolf. Unable to return home for fear of hurting her sister, and with a message scrawled across her arm warning HOSPITALS NOT SAFE, Hayden is left with just one option.
Him.
Ethan Caldwell doesn't do relationships. Adopted son of the pack Alpha, he lives a solitary life as a barista and artist. Things three years ago with Hayden Crowe went too far. By pack law, she couldn't be told what he was. Ending it was for her own protection.
But when Hayden shows up on his doorstep, newly changed and in danger, Ethan defies his father's orders to stay away. Someone in the paranormal community is hunting her, and hell if he's going to fail her again.
Dark is part of the Blood Moon, Texas Shifters series. Sizzling hot romance with an ongoing urban fantasy story arc and a guaranteed HEA in each book.

Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Story
Four years ago, Ryan Shaw broke my heart, tore it into little pieces and then stomped on it. Ryan is my fated mate, but when I saw him with another woman at the regional meet of all the Packs, I’d had enough. I finally told him what he meant to me, and being the jerk that he is, he rejected me in front of everyone. Heartbroken, I ran, trying to get as far away from him and the memory of that night as possible. Except I’m on a roll with picking jerks. So now I’m on the run again and heading back to the one place I know I’ll be safe.

I was a bit entertained at the beginning of this book and then after Lacey was introduced and the whole Hayden being hunted kind of just lost me a little bit. I was listening to the audiobook and at times I’d be a bit lost in between POVs. I honestly wish I would’ve liked it more than I did.

good read
Dark is a paranormal romance set in Texas. I love the fact that there are Fun Facts and places in Texas mostly Austin and the book in NOT about Cowboys or Ranches. Hayden is a barista/ band member who gets attacked one night and runs for help into Dark a coffee shop where Ethan works. Ethan realizes what is happening to her and that she was attacked by a werewolf.

Lost Interest
I liked the world of this story. It was interesting and good world building. After an hour or so, though, I began to lose interest- which is unfortunate as I love shifter stories and it's been quite some time since I'd read/listened to a story with a human being changed into something rather than characters that are born shifters.
Narrator Ashley Bodnar did a good job with the female characters, but completely unconvincing with the male characters. I could hardly tell and had to listen to cues sometimes to realize it was a male's POV. This book needed a male narrator for those characters.

A Gripping, Suspenseful Paranormal Romance
Thank you to Kat Kinney for allowing me to listen to a copy of this book. This book was so much fun and had me gripped from the beginning. I loved Hayden's and Ethan's relationship. And the interactions between the characters and the lore behind the werewolves in town just made me want to keep reading. Overall, the entire story was really good. And I wish we had duel narration, but it was very good nonetheless. I just cannot wait to continue the series with Crave.

Hayden and Ethan
Having a history, Ethan and Hayden find themselves back together when Hayden is bitten by a feral wolf and has no one else to turn to. Hayden is part of a band and a total bad@$$! She is fierce, stubborn and very protective of her sister Elle. Ethan is a troubled wolf who was adopted into Ben and Sofia’s family in Blood Moon. He is tough, disillusioned, very flawed and damaged by what he has experienced in his life.
Ethan has been seeing Lacey when they both need to scratch and itch. But when Hayden shows up, something about her draws Ethan to him and Lacey is pretty much kicked to the curb. When Ethan and his brothers set out to find who turned Hayden and figure out who is after her sister, the tension sets in and Hayden finds it very hard to trust Lacey.
Mystery, romance, secrets, truths, and great backstories on both Hayden and Ethan make it very hard to put this book down! I am hooked and look forward to reading more about the Blood Moon pack and seeing what adventures the other brothers get into! Will we find out what happened to their father Ben? Will Ethan and Hayden be able to have their HEA?

Loved it !!
Dark was such a good book. I loved the plot and the characters. Ethan and Hayden have such a sweet relationship, and the way they had to fight to be together was so good. Hayden was turned against her will and had to go to her ex-boyfriend. Ethan doesn't trust himself and thinks everyone dies because of him. Hayden loves him, and Ethan loves Hayden.

Didn’t care for the characters
As much as I wanted to get into this story, it just felt like it was dragging on. I’m a Twilight fan so I thought this would be something I’d love. I didn’t feel attached to any of the characters. It started out interesting with her being attacked and turned into a werewolf but just got a bit confusing and I found myself waiting for it to end. I’m sorry but it just wasn’t for me. I also really didn’t like the narrator as the male, she didn’t sound convincing.

Ethan making up for past hurt to. Hayden
A second chance touching romance with secrecy, mystery, danger and chaos making it harder to gain that love. The characters are funny and likable especially the seven brothers with their feuding but unmistakable bonding. Entertaining while engrossing book!.
