About this listen

In this gripping thriller, retired DEA agent Rob Anderson is pulled back into action when his friend's granddaughter, Sarah, disappears from a spring break trip in Cancun. What begins as a rescue mission quickly unravels into something far more sinister - the exposure of an international human trafficking network run by Geraldo Gomez, a former cartel lieutenant turned sophisticated criminal mastermind.

Anderson reassembles his elite team of former special operators, including CIA veteran Juan Godoy, ex-Rangers Greg Bremseth and Ken Fisher, and former Air Force Pararescue specialist Bob Hull. They're joined by Sophia Livshin, a lethal former Mossad operative with extensive experience dismantling trafficking networks. Together, they must navigate a complex web of corruption that spans continents and reaches into the highest levels of government and business.

The story accelerates from a violent confrontation in Mexico to a high-stakes cyber infiltration of Gomez's digital empire. As the team discovers the true scope of the trafficking operation—and its connection to powerful global figures—they realize that conventional law enforcement methods won't be enough. Their mission culminates in a daring operation on Honduran soil that challenges not only their tactical skills but also international diplomatic relations.

Through precise technical detail and unflinching portrayal of human trafficking's brutal reality, Darker Than You Know exposes the sophisticated methods modern traffickers use to exploit vulnerable victims. The novel balances intense action with deeper themes about justice, revenge, and the moral compromises sometimes required to combat evil.

This techno-thriller explores the dark intersection of technology, organized crime, and human trafficking.

Eye opening & realistic story of human trafficking

My favorite kind of thriller, with suspenseful confrontations, resulting in the good guys eventually winning.

Outstanding storytelling

Very insightful and engaging story. A thoughtful glimpse into the tragic practice of human trafficking and the efforts to combat the forces involved. We need more Rob Andersons to lay waste to the slime bags that engage in this enterprise.
