3rd in series, retaining the empire, new lineage

it was okay. touch of braveheart and Lord of the rings in battle scene. skullduggery. chivalry with old style realism.

The Final Book Wraps It Up! 🎁

Robert McDermott rounds out The Chronicles of Mathias series with this, the third book, Daughter of Mathias. Ida, the young orphan girl that Emperors Mathias and Fayette took in and adopted is finally settling in to life at the palace, that is, until she overhears that some changes are on the horizon. Fear and panic comes over Ida so she flees the palace to find her own way. Ida then falls into the company of some questionable characters. Will Mathias and Fayette be able to find her in time and will she be able to return to the palace?

Again, Cai Lonergan narrated this final book and he did a decent job.

Even though this story is short, it is well written and has a lot of action and was able to keep my attention through out. As a suggestion, since each story is short, I think the three books should be combined to create one full length book. That might encourage more listeners to give it a try.

Enjioyable read, good series

Daughter of Mathias (The Chronicles of Mathias Book 3), my fifth read/listen from author Robert McDermott & the conclusion of the Mathias Trilogy? I don't restrict myself to a particular genre. I'm a sucker for anything with memorable characters! Narrator Cai Lonergan’s narration added to the book’s enjoyment. Since I own both the Kindle & Audible versions I was able to follow along while being read to. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it.
