"Day Nine" is an anthology of five dark tales. The Day Nine story is set in London around Christmas. Two brothers work in tandem as armed robbers as they case an Indian-owned factory; one brother surprises the other - the crime does not turn out as expected!
Book two, The Scent Of Floss, is different; the heady smell of candy floss wafts into a blind man's care home room. He tells his grandson and those transfixed by his memory of his wife and how he lost his eyesight.
Try, Try, Try tells of a schoolboy whose wishes and hopes do not turn out as planned. He pictures himself with his first love, a new girl to school. But, unfortunately, not all girls are like your picture.
Book four tells of a boy whose legs were injured. He expects service from his family, his mother works hard for him, but his sister could be more helpful. But she does play Ouija with him—a big mistake.
The book ends with the tale of the odd life of an Asian woman and two insane siblings. The woman was born disfigured with a cleft palate. She frees a half-brother and his sister from a secure asylum to commit anti-religious crimes.
Book Three in this series follows soon.
