Alright, maybe not dead, but I honestly do not like virtual voice in the least. The stories were EXCELLENT but everything was brought down for me by the narration. Emphasis in the wrong places, odd pauses and sentence endings, you can really tell that it's not being read by a human being who actually processes feelings and can at least attempt to put that feeling into the narration. Not one single voice was different from any other, while a human being tends to give each character something to identify them when they are "speaking". I LOVED the stories. Please don't kill books with AI narration, it's not fair to the authors.

Amazing how writer can make you care about a character in such a short story

Really liked the stories, however, it was a real struggle to get through as the virtual voice narration was horrendous. More than once I was tempted to pack it in and move on to a human narrated book. This really does not make me want to explore this author any further or any more books with virtual voice. Take note Audible and authors, you may save a little money up front but I and many others will not even listen to an AI voice anymore. How's that gonna work out for ya. Your tripping over dimes to pick up pennies.

Good stories, bad narration!

This was a fresh idea, a less time consuming approach that spans multiple groups of people during the same timeline.
