I really enjoyed the book

I don't normally like mystery-ish type books but with the splash of fantasy/sci-fi, it made it interesting. The narrator did a fantastic job reading the book and brought each character to life. I can appreciate the fact that I was able to tell each character apart by the use of voice without having to be told who is speaking....

Not so Dead Streets

Listening to the first few chapters, I thought OH NO.. Male with a problem, can't be physically intimate with his significant other, starts comparing himself to another male, a male who is what he thinks he wants. I gave a sigh but continued. I was in for a big but good disappointment. The story drastically changed. The excitement started. The story changed. The story became a fun, interesting follow up to book 1. There were still references to zombie Matt Richter's comparing himself to a living, fully functional human male. He and his significant other work through their problems while they work to get Matt's head reattached, get out of a prison that has never had an escape and unite in solving the mystery. The scene where the two (while in a joint hallucination) are with their twin children, in a nice little house is sad. The major mystery is solved. The heroes are sitting at the end of the story discussing what they perceive as an unfulfillable dream. They are verbally working out a mutual resolve to this. The unexpected happens. No, Matt must remain a zombie. You have to listen to the audio to find out.
