About this listen

The Walking Dead meets Jurassic Park in this theme park thrill ride...

Deadland is the world’s most ambitious new theme park, inspired by a mysterious, deadly virus that killed some island tourists ten years ago but never went global. Here, zombie-themed robots run wild and the thrills never cease.

When disgraced virologist Dr. Piper Prescott receives an invitation from Deadland's eccentric creator to visit the park, she agrees—eager to see the attractions, but skeptical of its CEO. But not long after her arrival, Piper encounters a frantic father who claims he lost his 11-year-old son on a ride. When they find him, Piper immediately recognizes that the boy is sick.

Very sick. With a virus that shouldn't exist, because it was eradicated ten years ago.

Wasn't it?

As Piper races to save the boy from the deadliest virus humanity has ever known, she knows that if she doesn't make it out of the park, Deadland won't just be a hunting ground for zombie enthusiasts.

It'll be Ground Zero for an extinction event.

i was hesitant to buy a book with an AI voice because I assumed it would be flat. this "narrator " was still captivating, and didn't make any mistakes till the end of the book grammatically. the story line was good and I enjoyed it. ending seemed like there would be a sequel

I'm shocked how much i liked this book

The Walking Dead meets Jurassic Park/?? Not even CLOSE!!!!!! However, it IS a story of a viral outbreak, and how it spreads. A pretty good one at that. The reason for the low stars is because this book is NOT what it promised, Plus with VV, there's always "something' missing.

Misleading!!!

I really liked this book a lot. The story was excellent the characters were likable and it kept me invested. I was not a fan of the virtual voice because it mispronounced a lot of stuff and had no emotion which kind of took away from the story.

Extremely interesting take on a viral outbreak.

The only part that really connects to Jurassic Park is that it takes place in a park. The VV was not terrible but it did mispronounce words at time that made it noticeable. The story is honestly really interesting and keeps you drawn in. Overall definitely worth the listen and is a great outbreak story!

Not quite what’s sold.

Good story and moved at a good pace. Almost no gore, and I liked the characters.
