Informative and interesting

True crime with good narration as well as details without too much insertion of opinion, bias, tangents or sentimentalism. Very respectful and factual overall great listen.

Just the basics

This is a very short account of this true crime that happened in Denton, TX. The Audible narrator sounds very robotic so that took away from the story for me. It is also the very basics of this story. Glad it was offered in the Plus Catalog and I didn’t have to use a credit.

Denton, Texas 2002 Account of Cop's Murder of Wife

This sad and horrific account of Police Detective Bobby Lozano's brutal murder of his wife, Viki in the bedroom of their home, after 16 years of marriage is a well documented tale of a womanizing and selfish man, obsessed with appearance and his own self image. Insisting that his wife continually lose weight and never wanting any children, they did, after 15 years of marriage have a son, Monty, whom Viki adored. Even though Bobby Lozano was under suspicion, the case went unsolved for seven years, allowing him to go free and even remarry. This short listen gives an unbiased look at all that happened prior to, during and after the murder of young Viki Lozano, and is a warning to all women who may let their head be turned by a handsome, fit and controlling man.

More like a podcast than a book

The writing is good, and the performer did a good job. The story however is short, and unlike other try crime books, not much of the victim’s past and relationship dynamics were examined. It is still a good listen when taking a walk or something.
