About this listen

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Just delightful read, funny, witty, very British with good twists. It is reminiscent of other writers in the same vein, but I couldn't put the book down. I had to read the entire series in a few days. Just fun and can't wait for the next installments!" Sylvie J. M., amazon.com

A DELIGHTFUL COZY MYSTERY FULL OF QUAINT VILLAGES, QUIRKY CHARACTERS, AND MADCAP ADVENTURES BY A BESTSELLING AUTHOR.

Helen Ryes and Martha Littleword, two Americans living in England, become fast friends and amateur sleuths when a murder lands them in hot water. Killers unfortunately rarely stop at just one murder and the tome-filled libraries, ivy-covered manor homes, and lush countryside of England can be decidedly deadly!

Martha and Helen are having a spring to die for!

Helen’s ex-husband, George, has arrived to stir up trouble, and Martha gets sentenced to anger management classes for her illicit gun-wielding issues. Sounds like a pair of good reasons to get out of town, so when they’re invited to Germany to be guests on the beloved talk show, “Get Going with Gotts,” they happily accept.

Is stardom in their future? The girls hotly disagree, but when they get a call from a retired librarian who saw them on TV and is in desperate need of their help, Helen and Martha buck-up, kiss-up, and bring their A-game to retrieve a DaVinci masterpiece. Hopefully, the girls will solve the mystery and make it home in time for a much-anticipated wedding…Helen’s!

It’s a ripping, good race across Europe to grab a priceless treasure coveted for centuries by popes, emperors, aristocrats and conmen alike. Come along for another Martha and Helen adventure but pack light: comfy chair, hot tea and plenty of chocolate. Happy reading!

A FUN, ADVENTURE-FILLED MURDER MYSTERY WITH PLENTY OF HEART.

Fans of Richard Osman, M.C. Beaton, Faith Martin, the Reverend Richard Coles, Ian Moore and Jane Adams will love this unputdownable mystery.

narration bad

really did not like the virtual voice. very unnatural in phrasing, tone & emotion. do not know if I dislike of the story was due to the use of virtual voice.
