Don't Dance with the Devil

When you make a deal with the devil, something is guaranteed to go wrong. Diego Ramos learns this the hard way as his deal with Satan turns rotten, and Hell's Death Ryders are sent to collect on the bounty that's been placed on his head. In this dark and cheeky story, anything can happen - especially when demons, vampires, and witches come along for the ride. With the help of a stranger, will Diego be able to escape the unrelenting Death Ryders, or is he fated to meet his end on Earth, only to begin an eternity in who knows where?

Fantasy spoof!

This may be a fantasy tale, but paranormal, not so much. There are witches, vampires, and demons but the whole thing has an adolescent feel to it. The story revolves around Diego Ramos who makes a deal with the Devil to kill Don Santos in order to get another 50 years of life. There are some sexual situations and more than enough brutal violence. All I can say is that this style of writing is definitely not my cup of tea. It’s more of a bad comedy than a paranormal novel. I think I’ll pass on the rest of the series. This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.

Death Ryders

Couldn't get into the story. The narrator's delivery was flat and I was unimpressed with his performance. I received this audio book for free through Audiobook Boom for my unbiased review.

I LIKED IT!

I liked it. This was very quick but entertaining. The narration was good. This author did a good job with the characters. This was my first book by this author but I would definitely read more books in this series. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Death Ryders

This is definitely fantasy rather paranormal. Diego Ramos makes a deal with Satan to kill Don Santos to get another 50 years then comes all of the characters (too many to mention), felt sorry for Tina (Rhino and Salem are throughout ). At time it was comical and has some sexual situations and much violence. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Thank you

Bombastic Fantasy Better Read Than Listened

This story is first and foremost fun and over the top. Like the narrative of a ridiculous Heavy Metal comic the characters who are larger than life stride through it towards scenes of great violence and more than their share of sex. The characters are pretty two dimensional, but that's what you'd expect for the style, it's just something that when you're reading you spend less time thinking and more time charging towards the next violent encounter. Also there's pretty awesome drawings in the pages of the book, so check it out.

Narration is flat and doesn't fit with the nature of the story, I feel as though the audiobook experience would be substantially increased by the presence of a loud booming voice.

I received the audiobook code for this at my request and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

just ok

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I really wanted to love this book. I really did. The premise was interesting and I usually love books that have lots of snark and humor. Well, unfortunately, this was not to be. I found the narration to be kind of dry and slow for the story. It didn't really feel like it fit. I think I would have enjoyed it much more had I read it, instead of listening to it. That being said, it is pretty short and I think more time should have been spent on character and world building. All in all, this was just an OK audio book.

Sighs

Not really sure what this was supposed to be. At times there were interesting parts and some semblance of a good story, but then it would go sideways. Narration was mediocre at best.

Quite an imagination!

Reading this book provides some great insight to the meaning of the "fantasy" and "paranormal" genres. It was definitely an adventure from start to finish. I have read a lot of books and this one took some creativity to actually develop into the story. The character development was decent and I believe would have been more descriptive if the book was longer. I will check out more books by these authors in the future. The narrator was okay. I thought the range of voices he was able to do was a plus. However, I had a hard time listening to the voice for Diego. It sounded pretty rehearsed and a little phony. I really liked the voice of Satan though. All in all, it was a decent quick listen...and pretty entertaining. well I don't know if I was ready for that.

well this book is definitely one ride to hell and back. didn't really know what I was getting when I got this book. Death Ryder is definitely a appropriate title.

I found the audio to be a bit slow for my taste. I would definitely recommend speeding it up a bit maybe 1.25
