About this listen
She's a ghostly assassin. He's a sharp-eyed Brit. When something goes amiss in the magical underworld, can they unravel a murderous puzzle before all hell breaks loose?
Adina Venture keeps her banter brisk, and her emotions hidden. Maintaining a careful barrier between herself and anyone she cares about, she stalks the lonely Las Vegas nights as a supernatural killer-for-hire. Her signature? Making her jobs look like bizarre accidents, or "misadventures", as they are often called in the official death reports.
When an organization known for its brutal justice accuses her of slaying one of their own, little Miss Adventure knows she's in big trouble, and the only way out of it is to prove she's not guilty. There's just one problem: Until they're sure she's not a killer (at least, not the one they're looking for), she will be magically bound to Chief Inquisitor Levi Breitling, an unforgiving and unceremonious investigator who's sure of her guilt. If she can't convince him she's innocent, he'll verify it himself by digging into her head and ripping out her memories one by one.
In the struggle to clear her name, the unlikely pair uncover clues that suggest the murder was part of a much bigger, potentially Armageddon-level plot. Now, the fate of Sin City hangs on whether Adina and Inquisitor Breitling can find the true culprit before a deadlier monster awakens. And the longer it takes to track down the killer, the tighter the chain between them seems to grow...
Death by Miss Adventure is the darkly humorous first book in the Death by Miss Adventure urban fantasy series. If you like gritty mysteries, witty banter, and slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers romance, then you'll love S.G. Tasz's award-winning novel. Buy Death by Miss Adventure and unravel this snarky gothic mystery today! This audiobook was produced in part with a grant provided by the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Looking forward to more!
I am loving this new series! The world that these characters run around it is very well done. I could not stop listening to this entertaining story as there is never a dull moment. The characters are just as amazing! Some of them have special abilities that are very intriguing. They also have wonderful witty dialogue. Many times I was cracking up while listening.
I listened to this on audio. Phillipa Miller is newer to me and I thoroughly enjoyed her narration. She does very well on the different character vocalizations. I look forward to more in this series.

Captivating!
This was my first S.G. Tasz's book, and won't be my last. This is the first book in the series. The story is original, and entertaining. I liked the characters, the mystery, the banter, and the twists and turns. The storyline is complex, and captivating. This is a great enemies to lovers, slow burn romance. Phillipa Miller did an excellent job bringing these characters, and this story to life. Looking forward to listening to Death in the Desert, the next book in the series. #PFPAudio

Surprisingly loved!
What a pleasant surprise this turned out to be. I’ve started to be a bit bitter when trying new authors as the books tend to be a letdown but this book was wonderful! The FC was amazing and I was invested in the story! AND it was spicy!! That’s so hard to find nowadays! I am now following the author in anticipation for book 2. ❤️❤️❤️

A Fascinating AdVenture! Terrific Story & Listen🎧
This is a fascinating urban fantasy novel with equally fascinating characters and original storylines that are interesting and they captivated my attention the entire time. The writing, plot, and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. I adored the two lead characters, Adina Venture aka Miss Adventure who has paranormal abilities and Levi Breitling who is the Chief Inquisitor in the magical Order, and unfortunate circumstances bring them together, Adina being accused of a murder of one of their own. Adina has some unique paranormal abilities, some consider her a death walker with ghostly abilities, which is perfect for her profession as an incorporeal hitman who rids of the most evil. And when one of members of the order is murdered evidence points to her, but she had an alibi that night, and the order is giving her a chance to prove her innocence, but with a hitch, and that hitch is being attached to Levi who she will have to work with. OMG, the banter between those two was sometimes hilarious, and it was clear there was something more between them and it was great to watch it all play out, also great watching them trying to solve the case and prove her innocence. There is never a dull moment in this book and the story has the perfect balance of drama, mystery, action, horror, thrilling and suspenseful moments, humor to lighten things up, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. S.G. Tasz, thank you for this amazing story and wild ride.
🎧📚🎧 Phillipa Miller did a fantastic job bringing the characters and story to life. She covered the roles of all the characters, giving each their own distinct voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who was who. Her portrayal of the characters was spot on, nailing it as both leads, and she was believable in every role. She set the perfect tone for the story, handled the back-and-forth banter effortlessly, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. Phillipa Miller is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Very unique storyline, Enemies to Lover Slow Burn
This is a new author for me, but I cannot wait for the next book to come out. Ady is a spirit walker assassin. I mean it is definitely a unique skill set. She is accused of killing a high ranking official in the paranormal world Tasz has created, and Levi, who is an Inquisitor (The top scary one to other paranormals apparently) is sent in to apprehend and investigate her. Plot has many twists of did she or did she not do it. I honestly have not read something like this storyline before so it was quite refreshing to read. The narrator did a fabulous job as Levi is British, and she moved between an American and British dialect flawlessly. I am looking forward to the next book as it did end on a cliffhanger.
I requested and received a free audio copy via the publisher, and I voluntarily wrote this honest review. #TheFlockVIPReviewTeam ##FiresideAudio
