I hate IA narration

I totally dislike the narration. The voice tone was nice but the emotion and exclamation and actual feeling of the writing never came through with AI. This is the first AI audiobook I’ve ever listened to and I will never listen to one again took totally away from a story I would’ve enjoyed much more. If this is the future of audiobooks, I don’t think they’re gonna be selling as many books that’s for sure. I hope all the readers voice their opinion on this. It was just so shortcut no emotion in the love scenes and their words they were just so mechanical it just ruined the whole story for me if I could get my money back

Declan’s Bride

Declan’s Bride by Hildie McQueen
Highland Romp series #1. Scottish medieval historical romance.
Visitors at the castle has the men drinking to avoid social requirements. Declan Murray knows the women look at him with both marriage and lust in mind. He’s fine with the second but has no intention of getting married anytime soon. Too much drinking has him entering the wrong room, undressing and passing out. Declan is caught in Cairistine Reid’s room and her father insists on marriage. The two had been descretely interested in each other anyway, so decide to make the marriage real and move forward.

Let me say first that I absolutely hate the public maidenhood ritual.
Beyond that, this is an amusing historical romance. Adding a wild boar and a brave and determined heroine certainly ramps the uniqueness factor up.

🎧 I listened to an audiobook of this story that was narrated by a digital voice rather than human performance. It was better than text to speech for sure, so appreciate that the author took this route rather than no audiobook. I would have preferred an actor performance but understand the cost variance issues.
