About this listen
Def Leppard led the way, in 1980, for Britain’s new wave of heavy metal. They were catapulted to stardom within months alongside other bands such as Iron Maiden, Saxon and Whitesnake.
Their trademark was multi vocal harmonies and melodious songs, which appealed to America and gave them instant success.
This exclusive audiobiography is not an official music release by the artist or record company but is of studio quality and features Joe Elliot and Rick Savage who share their passion for Heavy Metal. They talk about the brilliant album "Pyromania", the relentless touring their motivation and how they handled success. A must buy for the collector, music historian and fan.

In Def Leppard: A Rockview Audiobiography, Chris Tetle sits down with the legendary hair metal band's singer, Joe Elliott, and bassist, Rick Savage, for a warm, engaging interview that offers insight into what makes these British rockers tick. Over the 18 minutes of clear audio, the two discuss the album that brought their breakthrough success in America, Pyromania, as well as the joys and rigors of touring. Though the original recording dates back to 1999, this digital edition stands up to current listening and presents a unique, conversational biography of one of the most popular metal bands of the late 20th century.

As far as the actual quality of the recording goes, it does get a bit muddy, but if you're used to the way TV sounded back in the 80's & 90's you shouldn't have much trouble getting your ear tuned in.
I wish it was a longer recording. I wish we could have heard from Steve and maybe Pete as well, although it's always nice to hear from Joe, Rick, Phil and Sav.
Good stuff for a true fan
