✨MINI REVIEW✨

Delilah: An Under Your Scars Novella
by @ariel.n.anderson
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

**You must read Under Your Scars before reading Delilah**

This novella is the perfect ending to Christian, Elena and Caroline’s story 🖤 It was the closure we needed and I cried through every single page 🥺

@ariel.n.anderson thank you for giving us Caroline’s story. Her happy ending heals some of the pain of the first book 🖤

If you haven’t already done so, go read Under Your Scars! These are beautifully written, life-changing characters. I promise you won’t regret it! And if you’re feeling like having your heart torn out even more, listen to the audio book - @leedanielsvo and @therealjoearden do an amazing job 🖤

Somewhat softened the blow

Do not listen out of order.
This somewhat soothes the ache left by the first book, but not by much.
I liked it though and would recommend it.

Just a glimpse

This is not closure but just a glimpse into Caroline’s life years later. Must read or listen to under your scars first!

The most beautifully Soul Wrenching read!

I was so upset after reading Under Your Scars that I put off this one for about 3 months. I did not think it could possibly be worse than the first one but now I’m like a sobbing mess and I feel like my heart was ripped out while it was mended all at once.
These two books have touched me in ways. No other book or movie has in years. I relate to Caroline so much because both of my parents are also gone. And while they did not go in the violence and heart shattering way Caroline’s, did they’re still gone.
And listening to the audio of this specifically has made the book that much richer to me. I honestly don’t know how the narrators were able to record this without sobbing constantly.
I didn’t think it could get any worse than the moment the letter is read Because that just destroyed me. I am still sobbing as I write this review. But I didn’t think it could get worse and then the epilogue was read. And when I say worse, I mean more emotional.
I have never read something so touching as these two books by Ariel. And reading this one it was the first time I have read something that was about the loss of a parent and it’s truly encompassed the actual way that grief feels. How soul shattering and heart wrenching it really is.
This book ruined me. I feel like I need therapy after this, but I would 1000%. Recommend this book to everyone. It is so beautifully tragic, and evokes so many emotions…that I can’t even describe it right.

I have too many feelings right now

EMOTIONAL DAMAGE

I waited for the audio. And it was like someone took my heart and dropped it into a bucket of boiling tears... and at the same time, somebody else is hitting my soul in the crotch with a frozen sledgehammer... and then a third guy walks in and starts punching me in the grief bone. (Iykyk)
Once again, Lee Daniels and Joe Arden were phenomenal. Lee Daniels got me like, having feels I haven't felt in a long time.

When I finished Under Your Scars, I had stayed up until 3am to finish and then I just stared at the wall because I didn't know what to do. Now, I'm like, sitting here all flustered with feelings and my cat jumped on my lap because I think he can tell I'm upset. I wish I was a crier because I'd probably feel better.

The bunny. That was the one. And pancakes. Jesus the heart in my chest cracked in pieces and it hurts. Physically hurts.

I'm glad this book is out there. It is a sense of peace and closure. But it also proves that the pain never goes away and the heart doesn't really heal.

I needed this ending.

Under your scars broke me, and helped me push through my own struggles. She deserved a happy ending, they all did, but I needed this so much.

Closure

I’m glad Caroline ends up okay. This story has demolished a giant void in my soul but this was a nice closing on Caroline. The legacy carries on 🖤
