About this listen

A novelization loosely based on the 1940 film starring Bela Lugosi, the "real" story of what happened to the hapless citizens of Heathville, Illinois during those dark nights when killer bats were swooping down from the sky! Intrepid reporter Johnny Layton and his cantankerous partner "One Shot" McGuire find themselves at loggerheads as they try to solve this devilish mystery. During the course of their investigations they find love with a French maid, lazy millionaires, a gay sheriff, and the mysterious Dr. Paul Carruthers. With elements of both horror and humor, "Devil Bat Diary" is sure to amaze and entertain! Fantasy Witty Scary

Update: 10/02... After 3 times listening, Devil Bat Diary has interesting nuances each time. Good voice narration.

If you've seen The Devil Bat starring Bela Lugosi you will probably enjoy this story. I enjoyed it tremendously. It has a good amount of humor while telling this tale of horror.

The characters are well developed and quirky. The most surprising part is the Virtual Voice reader. It is the closest I've heard to a good human narrator.

I'll definitely listen to it again.

Fun, Lively re-imagining story of The Devil Bat
