Diary of the Displaced is a genre-breaking saga that is part mystery, part scifi, part horror and part fantasy.
Set in a universe where creatures from the depths of Lovecraftian horror come up against blaster and shotgun-wielding nomadic wanderers, it's not like anything you've ever heard before.
There is a place where nightmares are real. A dark and terrifying place that is hidden from the world we know, by borders that only the most unfortunate of souls will ever cross.
James Halldon wakes up in a strange and dark place, surrounded by endless junk and debris.
He has no idea where he is, or how he got there.
No food. No water. No light. Almost no memories of his past.
And there are things moving in the darkness around him. Things that growl.

I REALLY wanted to overlook the terrible narrator
The premise of this book drew me in, but the terrible narration pushed me right the hell back. I gave it an hour and just couldn't listen any more. Audible was awesome and refunded my credit.
I will say that I turned right around and bought the set for Kindle to read myself.
Not only was the narrator bad, but I feel like they should've picked someone with an English accent, given the character is, y'know, British.

Starts out good, gets lame in the halfway
What would have made Diary of the Displaced Omnibus better?
I was hoping more of the survival alone, skip the resistance part completely
What was most disappointing about Glynn James’s story?
When he reached Sisters of the story started to get lame, resistance etc and trying to trap the nurlath (etc)

Good start and well played with the mirror and "memories" of London. Well built up story from the beginning. It started to go downhill when he met the sisters. Very good up to the roadhouse even. I quit in the middle, couldn't keep up with the story anymore
