I don't know any German. However, I'm very familiar with this book, and I enjoy great performances in any language. My familiarity with the book comes from multiple readings (including once in French when I was trying to learn French), listening to both the unabridged and abridged audiobooks multiple times, and seeing the film countless times. I also enjoy German music (i.e. Rammstein, Zentrifugal) and German film (i.e. Run Lola Run). I find listening to other languages fascinating. This would be a great learning tool for anyone trying to learn German who is also familiar with the story.

What did I like best? I love the cover art, and that he is the only narrator in any language who pronounced Palpatine correctly.

What did I like least? Unlike the English language versions, this version did not include any music or sound effects. This would have been the icing on the cake for this version.

I can't wait to listen to the German language versions of Episodes II and beyond, which are all (or mostly) also narrated by Philipp Moog.
