About this listen

Morgan Holland is a poacher’s daughter looking for a way out of the swamp. She’s been making secret moves to relocate, but it seems like every time she takes a step forward, she gets shoved two steps back. Her dad and friends are on the hunt for the Shifters, and they’re closing in fast. She doesn’t know Liam Lachlan, but he’s in danger, and she’ll take a huge risk to warn him. She’s walking a fine line that could get her in deep trouble with both sides. But the more time she spends with Liam, the more she wants to keep him safe—even if it means risking her own life and the future she’s been fighting for. Liam Lachlan is one of the legendary gator shifters in the swamps of Uncertain. He’s been quiet about what he is all these years, but rumor has it some poachers have figured him out and are hunting him. Good. Bring it. It’s been a while since he had a good war. Only problem is, the girl who warned him is the daughter of the biggest, baddest poacher in the swamps, and hurting her people means demolishing her. If it’s up to the gator in him, he’ll put an end to anyone who is hunting his family. But the man in him will stop at nothing to keep Morgan safe. Two worlds collide in the Swamps of Uncertain in this thrilling second installment of T. S. Joyce’s Keepers of the Swamp series…and these gators are just getting started. Good

This is a good book but I didn’t love it like I did the first one. I really enjoyed parts of it and have a few highlighted passages. Liam is much more than he seems. It was great to see him open up and sometimes I forgot he was gator with the way he acted. We are able to delve more into the relationship between him and Holt. They really come a long way in this one. It’s good to see everyone making changes. The town, the gatahs, and the mates. I can see them all growing and changing as the stories evolve. Speaking of.. I did enjoy how much Holt and Bre were involved with this story.

I liked that Morgan is the poachers daughter. I mean can they be any more opposite? They should by rights hate each other. But they each see something they recognize in the other which makes them take a second and third look. Morgan is pretty shy and reserved..so different from Bre. But she really brings out the smile in Liam and I can feel the happiness radiating off both of them through the pages. When Liam went to her house...I froze just like Morgan thinking what can come of this meeting. Then Liam went all Alpha and I was like Day-um boy! I want that!

This author did a good job with this story and it’s characters. Setting the swampy scenes And there are many enjoyable moments as well as a few serious ones. I figured out a little secret while reading this and it was confirmed by seeing the next book in the series. I knew it I knew it!! Can’t wait!
