About this listen

Lessons Learned from Sin Addiction is a book about one man’s fall from grace and the journey back.

In these pages, we explore learning to recognize our fallen condition, our need for accountability, and our privilege and ability to trust our heavenly father to make a way out of our self-imposed wilderness.

Sometimes, the road to recovery must start with disaster, but overcoming sin addiction is not only recovery, but redemption.

Seeking direction from darkness?.....

......Find some H.O.P.E with this book and get into God's Word (KJV)!

I appreciated Mike's vulnerability in this book; not many men possess such courage. One Amazon reviewer advised, "Do your research," which nudged me to purchase the book (thank you, reviewer). I indeed did my own research, and it's clear that Mike succumbed to sin, but it's equally evident that he repented before God. He openly acknowledged his transgressions (not by detailing them but by admitting his state of sin) and sought God's forgiveness.

Some individuals might have a past that seems more flawed than others, but if you truly love the brethren, you'll recognize that Christ can transform any past for His glory through His grace. As 1 John 3:14 eloquently states, "We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death." This verse underscores the transformative power of Christ's love in our lives and emphasizes the importance of supporting one another, especially those in search of redemption.

This book isn't a justification; it's a testament to the insidious nature of sin and its potential to wreak havoc on lives. However, there's nothing beyond Christ's redemptive power when genuine repentance is offered. As 1 John 1:9 proclaims, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Additionally, 2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Such verses highlight the hope and redemption available in Christ, irrespective of the magnitude of one's transgressions.

I'd encourage anyone who thinks their sin might be too dirty, to go to God just as you are. See this book as a friend pointing you to God's Word and consider the free gift of Salvation as a way to cleanse you from your past.

I'd also encourage anyone who wants to make a judgment on a man trying to clean up his life and serve Christ to read God's PURE and PRESERVED Word (King James Bible) and do what the Word says; He will forgive you of your all your filth as well.
