About this listen
Ares One: NASA's first manned mission to the dead planet Mars. But is Mars as dead as it seems? While the NASA team investigate an 'anomaly' on the planet's surface, the Doctor and Peri find themselves inside a strange alien building. What is its purpose? And what is frozen inside the blocks of ice that guard the doorways?
If the Doctor has a sense of deja vu, it's because he's about to meet some old adversaries as well as some new ones....
Written by: Justin Richards. Directed by: Gary Russell.

Story
The Doctor and Peri find themselves in the Museum of Aural Antiquities, where every sound is stored for posterity - from the speeches of Visteen Krane to security service wiretaps and interrogation tapes. But they also find an intruder, mysteriously changed recordings, and a dead body. Before long the Doctor realises that there is more going on than a simple break-in or murder. How can he defeat a creature that is made of pure sound? Written by Justin Richards. Directed by Gary Russell.

Story
In April 1970, during the glory days of the Apollo space program, NASA sent Navy Captain Jim Lovell and two other astronauts on America's fifth mission to the moon. Only 55 hours into the flight of Apollo 13, disaster struck: a mysterious explosion rocked the ship, and soon its oxygen and power began draining away. Written with all the color and drama of the best fiction, Apollo 13 (previously published as Lost Moon) tells the full story of the moon shot that almost ended in catastrophe.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

The Red Planet.
The first humans land on Mars. Exploring the planet they are surprised to find other explorers. A man in a cricket outfit, who has a title instead of a name and an American biology student with a weird name. Together they find a tomb full of Ice Warriors. A great story with the 5 Doctor and Peri. Their partnership was cut to short on tv, so I hope they have more adventures in audio book form. This story was great. Combines plots from Apollo 13 and Mission to Mars. Also love the Ice Warriors. Thanks to audio.com for finely releasing these audios.
