About this listen

North San Diego County...a gifted pianist...a beautiful violinist...a multi million-dollar land deal. Here is a Audio Movie story of intrigue, mystery, and murder in the comic-noir tradition.

What is an Audio Movie? It's an image-rich listening experience - a combination of narration, full-cast dialogue, music, and layered sound design created specifically for audio. Call it cinema for the mind.

This production was directed by M.D. Baer, produced by M.D. Baer and Leif Garrett, and stars Leif Garrett, Lisa Collins, and a cast of 23 others. The music is by Myron McClellan and the sound design by Charles Xavier.

Critic reviews

"[A]n entertaining story of intrigue, murder, and mystery, with enough twists and turns to keep you listening." (Bookviews)
"Double or Nothing is not your typical 'talking book' but a fully composed and highly recommended 'theater of the mind' listening experience." (Bookwatch)

Listening to this book resembled listening to a TV or radio program which I found totally distracting. I did not enjoy it. I much prefer to be read to.

Audio books should not be performed but read!

I'm not sure which I disliked more, the acting or the writing. I thought the story was dull and it moved to slowly. The acting was distracting. I would pass on this one.
