About this listen
Volume ten launches with Doug Bradley's well-researched insight into the stories and their authors. This is followed by HP Lovecraft's evocative tale of exploration, "The Strange High House in the Mist". Next we hear Ambrose Bierce's truly chilling "A Diagnosis of Death", and Jeffery Combs reads Edgar Allan Poe's classic revenge tale, "The Cask of Amontillado".
The second section presents us with Rudyard Kipling's tale of ghosts, "They", before the third section takes us down into Arthur Conan Doyle's "The New Catacomb", in his tale of a heartbroken lover's revenge. Jeffery Combs brings us part three of "Herbert West Reanimator", and Robert Englund rounds off this volume with his sublime reading of Edgar Allan Poe's poem "The Sleeper".

A trio of terrifying radio tales starring Roger Delgado, Vincent Price and Honor Blackman. Story
The volcanic eruption that created the island of Surtsey in 1967 also revealed a long-hidden cache of documents that told the fantastic history of Theem'hdra as written by the sorcerer Teh Atht. Building on translations begun by the scholar Thelred Gustau—who vanished under mysterious, some say magical, circumstances—Brian Lumley brings the saga of the Primal Land to audiences of today. Here, the wizard Mylarkhrion—most powerful of the terrible magicians who walked the earth in those long-ago days—battles sorcerers jealous of his knowledge, power, and wealth.

Story
Mark Gatiss ( Sherlock, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones) reads chilling tales by the unsung master of the classic ghost story: E. F. Benson. There's nothing sinister about a London bus. Nothing supernatural could occur on a busy train platform. There's nothing terrifying about a little caterpillar. And a telephone, what could be scary about that? Don't be frightened of the dark corners of your room. Don't be alarmed by a sudden inexplicable chill.

Another Awesome Episode!
I must say that the Spinechiller series is by far the best classic ghost story audiobooks out there. Doug Bradley is an awesome narrator, and it's fun to hear Jeffery Combs and Robert Englund read occasionally in the series as well. The reading that really stands out is "They", which I thought was especially well done. It's not a long audiobook at 3 hours, but well worth it!
